How a Family Session Helped KenMar find a Home

Back in 2001 we photographed this lovely couple and their family. Hank and Joanne Bauer.

Later that year our lease was up and we were looking for a new location. I was driving around looking for places that I thought might work, when I spotted a sign by a little creek on Hickory Farm lane.

I told my wife about it and a couple of weeks later she went to find the property. In the meantime the for sale sign had blown down in a windstorm. So she drove around the area and found a building that had a for rent sign on it. She knocked on the door and there was Hank. He recognized her as being with the photographer and she recognized him from the family session.

They talked for a while and Debbie mentioned that we were looking for a property to buy. And Hank said “What a coincidence, we were just going to list it with a realtor later this week.”
What?!

We bought the property within a few months directly from Hank and Joanne and couldn’t be happier with the astounding coincidence.

Had it not been for the wonderful coincidence of having photographed the Bauer family and a blown-down sign we might never have found our beautiful photo-park!
